Mikel Obi sets record, as Chelsea draws at Stamford Bridge

Mikel Obi has now joined the list of Chelsea players who have made 350 appearances for the club.

Nigerian midfielder, John Mikel Obi has set an appearance record at Chelsea after emerging as the club’s 3rd highest foreign appearance maker.

Mikel, who was a 2nd half substitute for Cesc Fabregasbecame Chelsea’s 21st player to make 350 appearances in the colours of the Blues.

An excited Mikel told the club website that he was glad to have spent the last ten years of his career with the London side while promising to help the club win more laurels,

‘I am so happy and so proud of the amount of games I have played for this club and at the same time using these games to win trophies and medals. This is the most important thing,’ Mikel stated.
