The Headies Awards 2015 postponed to 2016

The 2015 edition of the annual music awards- The Headies- has been postponed to Friday, January 1 2016.

The Headies, one of the most coveted awards in the Nigerian music industry, was initially scheduled to hold on Wednesday, December 30.

Organizers of the awards announced the postponement on Monday, December 28.

While stating no reason for rescheduling the awards show, representatives of the organisers said: “The postponement adds another opportunity for the organizers to deliver an event many expect to be truly remarkable.”

The new date of The Headies awards clashes with the January 1st concert of veteran comedian, Ali Baba.

The Headies 2015, which is put together by Smooth Productions, will be hosted by dancer, Kaffy and comedian, Bovi.
